// About StackPick

We built the tool we wished existed when we were planning our first product.

StackPick exists because the gap between "I have a startup idea" and "I know what to build" is costly, confusing, and unnecessary.

Agency cost guides are written to convert you into a lead. Generic calculators give you a number with no context. Asking a developer means relying on one person's opinion.

We thought there should be a neutral, AI-powered tool that gives any founder, technical or not, the same quality of analysis that a senior engineer would produce.

So we built it.

// Our Mission

Make technical planning accessible to every founder.

Not just the ones who can afford a $5,000 discovery sprint.

Not just the ones who know the right developers.

Every founder. Everywhere. Free.

We believe a founder with a clear technical plan makes better decisions, hires better teams, builds better products, and wastes less money than one who doesn't.

StackPick is the equaliser.

// How the Scope is Generated

We believe in transparency. Here's exactly how StackPick works.

01

You answer 6 structured questions

An optional free-text description gives the AI more context about your specific idea.

02

Your answers are passed to our AI engine

Calibrated for Indian market rates, real stack patterns, and technical specificity. It generates your scope as structured JSON.

03

The JSON is validated and rendered

Into a human-readable scope with architecture diagram. The diagram is built from a structured node-connection schema, deterministic and consistent.

04

The scope is cached

So identical inputs don't waste API calls or your time. You can opt to share it publicly.

05

Follow-up questions use your scope data

The AI for follow-up questions is grounded in your specific scope data, not a generic tech conversation.

About Our Cost Calibration

Cost estimates are based on:

  • • Indian dev agency hourly rates (₹1,500–₹5,000/hr depending on seniority and specialisation)
  • • Feature complexity multipliers derived from real project patterns
  • • Timeline-to-cost ratios for the Indian market
  • • Buffer calculations for common scope creep scenarios

Estimates are directional. For a fixed-price commitment, always engage a development team with your scope document in hand.

// What StackPick Is Not

We want to be honest about our limitations.

We are not a development agency.

StackPick plans. It doesn't build. We don't write code for you.

Our estimates are not quotes.

A generated scope is a planning tool, not a contract. Real costs depend on who you hire, how requirements evolve, and factors we can't predict.

We don't guarantee accuracy.

Our AI is capable and calibrated, but AI makes mistakes. Use your scope as a starting framework, not a final truth. Validate with at least one experienced engineer before committing.

We are not affiliated with any development agency.

StackPick is an independent tool. We have no financial relationship with any development firm. Our estimates are not influenced by anyone's sales agenda.

This honesty is a feature, not a disclaimer.

// What's Coming

StackPick is a young product. Here's what we're building toward:

State of Indian Startup Stacks

Annual data report (When we have enough scope data to make it credible)

Saved scope history

Multiple scopes, revisit anytime (Requires optional account, in design)

Team sharing

Share editable scopes with co-founders (Coming once core tool is validated)

Premium embed

White-label calculator for agencies (Available now in beta)

API access

Integrate scope generation into your own tools (Enterprise tier, planned for late 2026)
